Hunting Licenses
Getting Licensed to Hunt in Hawaiʻi is Easy
Responsible hunting, licensing, tagging, and permitting, allows Hawaiʻi to protect its precious environment so future generations may also enjoy hunting this well-enjoyed pastime.
In addition to Hunter Education Certifications, hunters must:
- Apply for a new Hunting License per Hunting Season
- Purchase a Hunting Tag or Permit as required for specific hunting areas
Please note, the Division of Forestry & Wildlife (DOFAW) may modify or cancel a hunting season in a particular area to adjust for changes in weather conditions or animal populations.
